Here we go again.
Governor Romney indicated PBS would be among his list of federal tax cuts. So, the other side has thrown Sesame Street’s Big Bird into the dialogue and controversy. Even the Big Bird, himself, has asked not to be included in this controversy, and is apparently emarrassed about the ridiculous ad the Democrats quickly put together, which uses the big bird as a scapegoat.
As for me, I maintain my original premise:
PBS has sponsors.
I’ve seen it hundreds of times: “This program was brought to you by the letters L and R.”
I’m just not sure how much money “L” and “R” pay for a spot on “Sesame Street“– probably not as much as they would pay for a 30-second ad during the SuperBowl. But, at least parts of the alphabet are sponsoring SESAME STREET.
No worries for Big Bird.
